| Here are some questions I find people often ask regarding my services:
How did this service come about?
There are many couples that choose to be married outside of a church. In these cases, it can be very difficult to find a minister who's willing to perform the wedding ceremony. I always consider it an honor when I am asked to preside over this very special occasionfor any couple, anywhere.
How much does this part of the wedding cost?
Since no two weddings are alike, my fees vary according to your needs. I can
perform a nice, simple service or take part in any elaborate ceremony you are
planning. I cover the fees more fully in the cost section. What's a good location for the ceremony?
Where do you like to be? When I got married, I could not use the location where
my church met so I had to look high and low for the right "church." I wish
I would have been more open to a different location. If a location has special
meaning for you, it's
my honor to see you married there. Some ideas for wedding locations include clubhouses,
homes, gardens, parks, or even the beach. The options are
endless. If your budget is limited, you can have a nice ceremony in a back
yard, living room, poolside, or at the beach.
How long is the ceremony?
I have found any ceremony under 7 minutes finds people looking around and wondering if they have missed something. Anything over 30 minutes will have your guests starting to shuffle their feet. I find somewhere in the 15-25 minute range to be just about right. Again it all depends on your decisions. We can certainly include everything you have ever wanted in your ceremony.
Where does one get a marriage license?
Both bride and groom must accompany each other to the Marriage License Division
of your county. The fee is $93.50 and you must have proper
Identification
(Drivers License, Military ID, Passport, State ID Card).
After your ceremony, I will mail your signed license to the court after for you.
Do we have to belong to
your church ?
No. I do not perfom weddings as a way to get people to join my church. Not
that there is anything wrong with that.
I minister to anyone needing a wedding minister. Can you an inter-faith ceremony ?
No. As a Christian minister I am not able to administer a ceremony for
any other faith. I can perform non-denominational and non-religous
civil ceremonies.
What is a non-denominational
ceremony ?
It is a wedding ceremony that keeps with Christian tradition but is
not linked to one church.
Can you perform a same sex
marriage ?
No.
How do we reserve our wedding date?
First things first: CONTACT ME to see if your date
and time is available on my schedule. If you decide you would like to have me
officiate your event you simply pay a deposit to hold my services and then pay
the remaining amount prior to the ceremony.
